Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-21
The short version
- Everything you enter into StadiumSpark stays on your phone: team and player names, jersey numbers, photos, songs, recordings and photos of the coach's card.
- StadiumSpark has no accounts, no servers and no analytics.
- The only data that leaves your phone is a team pack file you choose to share yourself. This version sends no crash reports.
- Deleting a team removes its data. Deleting the app removes everything.
Who we are
StadiumSpark is published by Jay Lee ("we"), an individual based in the United States. You can reach us at info@stadiumspark.com.
What the app stores
StadiumSpark keeps the following information in its private storage on your phone. You enter or create all of it; the app collects nothing on its own.
- Team information: team name, season, colors and an optional logo image.
- Player information: display name, optional full name, jersey number, an optional pronunciation spelling used only by the spoken announcement, an optional photo, and whether the player is sitting out.
- Batting orders: who bats in each game, in order, with the date of the game.
- Audio you import: song files you pick for walk-up clips and between-innings music, the trim points you choose, and the loudness measured at import.
- Announcements: intro text, recordings you make with the microphone, announcement audio files you import, and text-to-speech audio the phone generates from the intro text.
- Card photos: a photo of the coach's card taken for text recognition. The photo is used for the scan and is not kept after the batting order is saved.
- Device settings: volume levels, theme, voice choice, whether you completed the walkthrough, your answer about crash reports, and the current game position.
Where it is processed
All processing happens on the phone.
- Text recognition of the coach's card uses a recognition model bundled with the app. The photo does not leave the phone.
- Spoken announcements use the voices built into your phone's operating system. The intro text does not leave the phone. If we add a cloud voice option later, it will be off by default and described in an updated policy before it ships.
- Waveform, trimming and loudness analysis run on the phone.
StadiumSpark does not use accounts, cloud sync, advertising or usage analytics, and does not connect to Apple Music, Spotify or any streaming service.
No other company is involved. StadiumSpark has no service providers and no data processors, so nobody else receives your information and nothing is transferred to another country. Apart from a team pack you export and send yourself, nothing leaves the phone.
Crash reports
This version of StadiumSpark sends no crash reports. If the app crashes, the error stays on the phone. No crash reporting service is turned on in any build we publish.
The app keeps a "Send crash reports" switch, and it saves your answer on the phone. You can change the answer in Settings at any time. Nothing is sent either way, and we receive nothing.
If a later version starts sending crash reports, we will name the service, say what a report contains and update this policy before it ships.
Children's information
StadiumSpark is a tool for adults: the parent, coach or team manager who runs the music at games. The app is not directed to children, and children are not meant to use it. The person using the app must be at least 18 years old, or 13 to 17 with the permission of a parent or guardian, who then accepts our Terms of Service on the minor's behalf.
An adult using the app enters information about players, most of whom are minors: names, jersey numbers, and optionally a photo or a recording of the adult saying the player's name. We never receive this information. It stays on the adult's phone, under the adult's control, and it leaves the phone only when the adult chooses to share a team pack file.
We do not sell personal information, and we have no personal information to sell.
If you are a parent and want a player's information removed from a team, ask the adult who runs the team to edit or delete the player, or to delete the team.
Sharing a team pack
A team pack is a single file (.sparkteam) that you can export and send to another parent through Messages, AirDrop, email or a cloud drive of your choice. It contains the players, clips, recordings and logo. Player photos are included only if you turn that on in the export dialog, which warns you that photos of minors will be in the file. We never see the file. Whoever you send it to can open it in StadiumSpark and use it, so share it only with people you trust.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera and photo library: to photograph the coach's card, and to add a player photo or team logo.
- Microphone: to record an announcement in your own voice.
- Files: to import songs and announcement files, and to save or open team packs.
- Media controls: to show the current batter on the lock screen and let a Bluetooth speaker's buttons stop the music.
You can decline any of these. The related feature stays off and the rest of the app works.
Deleting your data
- Delete a player to remove that player's name, number, photo, clip and announcements.
- Delete a team to remove everything about the team, including all its players and media.
- Delete the app to remove everything StadiumSpark stored on the phone.
- Team pack files you exported are outside the app. Delete them yourself wherever you saved or sent them.
- We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete and no request for you to make.
Security
The data lives in the app's private storage, which the operating system keeps separate from other apps and protects with your phone's passcode and encryption. Back up your phone to keep the data; there is no StadiumSpark backup service.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the app changes what it stores or sends. The effective date at the top tells you when it last changed. We will show material changes in the app.
